USSSA Baseball is one of the largest youth baseball programs in the United States
and is dedicated to the development of programs that allow teams of
single ages and ability to participate against other teams of similar
age and ability. Being the leader of innovation and positive change,
USSSA now offers single age division World Series Qualifiers and World
Series Tournaments. Major Division - Teams made up of select players and play in a tournament every weekend and 60 plus games a year. Recruit from many towns and counties. Likely every player is a pitcher. Definately will play in USSSA World Series. AAA Division - Teams that play numerous tournaments and between 40-60 games a year. Recruit from 2-3 towns or from one large city. Usually 7-10 pitchers on roster. Likely to play in USSSA World Series at season end. AA Division - Teams that play limited tournaments and 30-40 games. Roster is from one town or community. Estimate 5-7 pitchers, (or less) on the roster. May or may not play in USSSA World Series. A or Rec - Teams that play in a local league made up of drafted players. Teams play very few tourns, if any, and about 20-30 games per season. May play other drafted teams from other towns. Probably has 3-4 decent pitchers at most. League may also form an All-Star team and then play in tourn’s. USSSA offers a State Tourn for A level and League All-star teams, but not a World Series. |
